I, along with Zhandra, went to Ateneo to confirm my slot. We met plenty of Judenites at the Office of Admission and Aid. It was the reason why I didn't get to talk to any of my friends when I went to SJ earlier to get my siblings' and my report card. I was walking briskly from one classroom to another and I didn't get to check my card since the only thought going through my head was that I had to get to Ateneo before they close. Good thing the driver took his time. I was able to see the error on my card. It gave me quite a scare. Apparently, it said there that I lacked units in both Chinese subjects. I found that hard to believe since I never had a failing mark in my report card. Zhandra told me not to mind it since it was also written that I am eligible for college. I still returned anyway. Mrs. Olalo had to erase that part. Her reaction when she found out was funny. Good thing Mr. Baccay was there. He was composed the whole time and he kind of told her what she had to do. I'm a bit annoyed that I didn't get to meet my friends because I had to go to ADMU. But I'm also glad that I already confirmed my slot. At least there were only a few people today. Oh well. I still have to return to SJ at April 17 for Chimes. Federico, my brother in second year, has three red marks in his card (different quarters) yet he still managed to rank 14 in his class. Mom shrieked when she found out. Dad laughed. They couldn't believe it. They were ecstatic. Even Fed couldn't believe it. Heck, it was the highlight of the day. And Ms. Paronda told me to get him to join the Math Club since he's good in Math. I don't think he'll join. He's too lazy. My parents and I have been trying fruitlessly to get him to join an organization for some time. Knowing that he's good in Math is a relief for me since he wants to follow Dad's footsteps and be a civil engineer. Labels: admu, card, chimes, graduation Posted by 王丽枫 at

...and I still don't feel like I'm going to leave SJ already... Never mind. One day it'll hit me, the fact that my high school years are over. And I know that there will be plenty of things I'll regret. You know, not doing this and that... Labels: graduation, sj Posted by 王丽枫 at

Actually, I dislike the name of our school's yearbook. Why "Chimes" of all things? And to make things worse, that term has stuck to our minds that we refer yearbook as Chimes. It's like "photocopy" and "Xerox", the only difference is that only Judenites can understand the other meaning of Chimes. Outsiders would think of it as the tubular bell. Hmm...I just searched "Chimes" at Google and so many results came out. Apparently, people use it as the name of their establishments and one school newspaper even uses it as its name. Oh well. My youngest brother is going to graduate tomorrow. He'll be stepping into the world of grade school this coming school year. What joy. And to think that I'm already going to start my first year in college. Oh yeah. The school is brainwashing the kids. I found out when Audrey and I were at the auditorium while the Prep 3 students were there. They were going to have a tour on the grade school and high school grounds so that they'll be familiar with the place come June. Anyway, a video was presented where you can see grade schoolers having lots of fun. Then, one of the grade one teachers was talking on the microphone, telling them how wonderful being a grader is. That being in grade school would mean plenty of fun. That all the teachers are nice. Right. When my sister heard this, she launched into a tirade about how difficult being in grade school is, how scary some of the teachers are, etc...My youngest brother merely shrugged and told us that he didn't believe in the teachers. I blame myself and his two other older siblings for that. We're such good influences, aren't we? We had our graduation mass last Saturday. A video made by the teachers was presented as a tribute to us. It was really sweet of them. Fr. Marquez also told us that the number of students who have passed ADMU, DLSU, UP and UST has increased by two percent. Lol. Yes, gloating here. Speaking of ADMU, I just don't understand my parents, their friends and my relatives. When I couldn't decide where I wanted to study, they told me to go to Ateneo. Now that I've decided to pursue my college studies there, they're asking me whether I'm sure. And I thought they'd be glad by my decision. How would they like it if I decided to apply in La Salle at the very last minute? Labels: chimes, college, graduation Posted by 王丽枫 at |
